VARIETIES OF GRAPES GROWN AT FOUR MAPLES VINEYARD
Seyval Blanc is a moderately hardy vine. The Seyval planted in our vineyard is grafted on a cold hardy, disease resistant root. Wine produced with Seyval Blanc has notes of melon and the taste is enhanced when aged in oak barrel.
A cold hardy variety that is less resistant to diseases. Wine produced by La Crescent has notes of apricot, peach and citrus. The grapes has high acidity and is excellent for late harvest or desert wine. More info
St Pepin is cold hardy variety but is less resistant to diseases. Wine produced by St-Pepin has fruity notes resembling those of Reisling. St-Pepin is also suitable as table grapes.
